Do you need a Website?

Not every business needs a website, it all depends on your business model, type, size of your business. The corner shop may not need a web site right now as most of his business is passing trade unless they have a unique product that is unavailable elsewhere.

Many small business owners have approached us saying they think they need a website, but we believe that firstly you should ask yourself what do you want to achieve with your own site.

If you feel that you have more business or clients than you can handle, drive more traffic to your business might not be the best idea, while its good to have a steady influx taking on more work than you can handle and not delivering on it might be more detrimental to your reputation than any pros you might think.

For some types of businesses a web site is a critical need e.g.. a travel agent or a consultant. You may have a product that can be downloaded or cheaply shipped around the world. Or you might be a local business in a very competitive market and you could use your web presence to edge out your rivals by displaying your contact details, services and products, making it easier for potential clients to find you.
